Has anyone noticed quality changes in TransTape over the years? I’m not sure if im misremembering, but a few years ago the tape was thicker and stiffer, and I could wear it for four or five days with little movement from the original position of the tape.
I just started a new roll from an order from a month ago, after running out of my supply from last summer. Now it seems thinner, flimsier, and doesn’t hold well. The other week (with the new roll) I put it on in the morning, and when I was trying to get comfortable for bed, i noticed it was already catching on my sheets, something that used to only happen around day three or four, not 12 hours later. Today I put the tape on around 11am, on clean, dry skin (had been out of the shower for an hour). I did not overstretch the tape, I did the same technique I have done for months. Around 3/4pm today I was changing and noticed the tape already was pulling off from its original position. I had not done any strenuous activity, I drove an hour, and sat down and had lunch, and was changing to go swimming. I ended up only wading in the water because I was worried getting it wet would cause it to slip more, loosening my binding.
Has anyone else noticed the same? Or do I just need to adjust my binding technique?
