Today was… interesting.

My wife and I went shopping (mostly for her) today.

First big UP of the day was that for the first time she went out in public with me dressed as the genuine me. Until today, she'd been too nervous about it so I would go in stealth mode for her sake unless I was going out alone. 🎊

Then the DOWN came. At the outlet mall to which we'd gone, a young Chinese couple, tourists from one of the innumerable bus tours, (we're from Niagara Falls, so believe me when I say that I know tourists when I see them) passed us. They looked at me and started laughing out loud. They even looked back after we'd passed and kept laughing. 😥

Then another UP came my way. We stopped by a thrift store on the way home from the mall and as we were in a tight aisle, a lady came through wanting to get by. We, of course made space for her to pass and as she did she said "excuse me ladies"! 🤩 First time I've been gendered correctly outside of established LGBTQIA spaces like my gender clinic!

I'm calling today a win and I'm calling the tourists dumbasses. 🤣
