So a month ago I changed my regime from:
- 2mg estrogel applied twice a day (4mg total)
- 12.5mg Cypro every 2 days
Which I had been using for over a year at that point.
To:
- 2mg gel applied morning then 4mg at night (6mg total)
- No Cypro
My results came back today from my blood test late last week (NHS):
- Testosterone: <1 nmol/L
- Estrogen: 1573 pmol/L
- Prolactin: 365miu/L
- Free Androgen Index - “unable to calculate”
- SBHG: 36 nmol/l
- FSH: <1 iu/L
- LH: <0.5 iu/L
I’m of the understanding the T, FSH & LH numbers mean the equipment used can’t provide results lower than this.
My test done in October 2023 on my old regime had the following results (medichecks):
- Testosterone: 0.55 nmol/L
- Estrogen: 452 pmol/L
- Prolactin: 747 miu/L
- Free Androgen Index - 1.7%
- SBHG: 31.3 nmol/l
- FSH: <0.3 iu/L
- LH: <0.3 iu/L
Do my new results (first set) look normal? I was thinking the high E number could be due to double dosing on a night (I take my test just before the day time dose), but shouldn’t the half life of gel mitigate that? If not, are these results actually useful?
