Why does Whitman Walker want me to inject 12mg/week???

Post Body

ok, so ive been taking 5-6mg estradiol valerate from otokonoko pharmacy every 5 days (sunday -> friday -> wednesday -> etc.). i recently switched to whitman walker bc they were the best-rated clinic in the DC area, and i just got my lab results back.

my levels were 402pg/mL estradiol, 18ng/dL testosterone. these were pretty high, especially considering that my blood was drawn at the trough (day 5 after injection).

but they asked me to DOUBLE my dosage to 12mg??? (they prescribed 0.3mL of 40mg/mL solution.) NOW to be fair, they made the recommendation to increase my dosage BEFORE they saw the lab results, and im still waiting for them to reply to my calls asking about those. but it still seems really weird that they would randomly choose to give me 12mg/week, twice as much as everyone seems to recommend, for what seems like no reason. according to the injectable estradiol simulator from transfemscience, this would give me wildly fluctuating levels.

i'm gonna try 6mg once a week for now, and ask my doctor later :P
but do you have any idea why they could be doing this? sure, too much HRT is prolly better than not enough HRT, but i don't trust these guys now :(
