While my control has improved some over the last 8 months, I still can't get very high on my acon. I've ordered a 6 mm web bed from china (pics once it's here --$US 480 $115 shipping) and from comparison with the beds at the gym I'm optimistic.

The downside of china shipments, is the 4-6 week delay.

Anyone have suggestions for a routine either on or off the trampoline to develop a better jump with control.

  • Yes. Losing weight. I've lost 15 lbs since 1 Jan. Currently at 185. I'd like to get down to between 150 and 160.

  • I have never been a fast twitch kind of guy. 150 km week long backpack trips with 30,000 feet of elevation change over rough terrain? 16 hours of 35 paddle strokesNo problem. My understanding is that a large part of this is due my selection of parents. I don't know to what extent this is trainable.

  • I've had a few times where I mucked up the timing on my punch, and still had too much bend in my knee when hitting the heavy g at the bottom. That hurts. Main pain for that was in the connective tissue at the lower end of my quads. When this has happened it usually means 2-3 days of easy jumping and working on other skills.

  • Control is an issue. When I work on higher jumps, I tend to drift forward on the tramp.
