Question for any brisket enthusiasts: smoked a brisket for Mother’s Day and it came out great (approx 10 hour total cook; injected with beef broth mixture at 5-6 hour mark and wrapped for another 4-5). Problem is my sweet mother cut the point in the wrong direction, so those strips are a bit tough to chew thru. I caught it in time to save the flat, which was cut properly.
Any recommendations for what to do with the leftover strips from the point?
Hate to see such a juicy piece of meat go to waste or microwaved. My initial thought was to strip further and use the meat for brisket tacos. Maybe even throw it into a slow cooker to loosen the meat up a bit. Any thoughts? Tips? Recommendations? General recommendations for leftover brisket would be great too.
Thanks in advance!
