I'm JD, 56. I currently live in El Paso, TX although I have no intention of staying here past this year. I'm told I look younger, judge for yourself. I know that I don't remotely FEEL my age. And I still want the things I wanted when I was a younger man. So here's a list of those things:

I'm dominant. I can't be any other way; it just doesn't work. So, I refuse to try that route again, even if I remain alone. I'm not desperate in the least, I will know what I want when I see it, but I do hate being alone.

I'm also a man who strongly craves connection and commitment. I want someone to dote on, to care for, provide for, protect and possess down to the last molecule of her existence. I have some preferences but I'm open to any awesome woman who comes into my life. I prefer women who are not obese. A few extra pounds are the American standard. I'm not a Greek Adonis myself, but I am simply not attracted to fat. Height/weight proportionate is the catch phrase. Me? I'm 6'1" tall and about 225 pounds. See pics on my profile.
I'm a Dominant. My abilities and experiences range from a very hard, sadistic Master in a TPE, CNC 24-7 relationship to a soft Daddy/Dom. Everything in that range satisfies and appeals to me. I'm retired young and have tons of time on my hands to spend with you. Whether you have a career you want to pursue, your education, or you value being a full-time homemaker, I'm into it. Are you clingy and need constant attention/validation? Bring it! LOL When I'm with a woman, I'm WITH a woman. We're together because we enjoy each other's company, right? I don't have a lot of hobbies, and I don't go out with friends. I tend to be a homebody when I don't have a partner to think up fun things to do. If left to my own devices, I rarely go anywhere I don't have to. I suppose that's why I'm here trying to meet someone on Reddit. My age range preferences? I don't care. I value age gaps but don't need them. A girl of 18 can have a mature, old soul and a woman of 50 can act like she's still in Junior High. So, age isn't the draw in itself. Do you have a kid? Don't think that automatically disqualifies you. I'm not that shallow. And I'm good with kids. I raised 4 daughters of my own.

I don't have family in my life, so you will never have to deal with that baggage. I want to create a world where it's us vs. everyone else. Don't get me wrong, you have family and friends, and I wouldn't get in the way of that, but you won't have to worry about mine.

I'm not remotely interested in sexting or being an online Dom. Nope. Not interested. I want real relationship. Also, I'm not getting younger, so if you're idea of courtship is an extended, drawn-out texting relationship before a meeting or making something real, I don't have time for it. I'm alive now, so I want to live now. And share that life with someone I can touch.

Inside a relationship, I'm traditional and conservative. Politically, I lean toward liberal in that they seem to be more loving and not interested in forcing everyone to meet their ideals of how we all SHOULD live.

Finally, I'm Christian and it matters to me. My faith is personal and not something I push onto my partner or anyone else. I would hope my partner will have a faith of her own as well, but at minimum, respect for my beliefs is required.
