In the 1950s, the average global fertility rate was around 5 children per woman. By 2023, this dropped to 2.4 children per woman. The replacement level to maintain a stable population is 2.1

In the US, the fertility rate is 1.64 which is already lower than the replacement rate. It's worse in Japan (1.3) and South Korea is at a shocking 0.84! For the first time in human history, adult diapers have surpassed baby diapers in sales in these countries.

Makes me wonder, what is the purpose of human life if not to start a family and raise children? You feel exactly the same after death as you felt before your birth...nothing. The only mark you leave on the Universe is by passing your genes. In a world where birth rates are plummeting globally, it baffles me when I see people being proud of not marrying and being child-free, almost as if it is an achievement to be proud about. Imo, if you are financially secure, and can provide for the family, you should absolutely have kids!

I have already achieved the things I have always wanted to achieve. Now, life seems too easy and purposeless. I want to keep working to make another person's life easy. For someone I can call mine. I want the responsibility of raising a family. I don't necessarily want to raise an army of kids, but I want at least 1 or maybe 2.

I want to build a family with someone who shares similar interests. I’m comfortable being the primary or sole provider for our family. I feel good in that role both biologically and psychologically. I want to come home to a clean house, enjoy good food cooked at home, and spend time with family. I am debt-free, financially secure and don't mind sharing basic details via DM. I take a lot of pride in the fact that I have achieved financial independence from a rough spot in life and without any inheritance. I studied in a catholic school but I am mostly agnostic when it comes to religion. I don't mind if you practice any religion actively. I am 5'7" and weigh about 147 lbs.

If you want to do a job that you like, you may do so, but it shouldn't have priority over family. I do NOT want to send my child(ren) to daycare.
