Long story short I have about 4k in my current investment portfolio. Since June I am up 10%. A friend recently told me about vanguard isa and how it can be tax free so no need to pay capital gain tax. I can’t figure out which fund would be most suitable and what the average return to expect with the different vanguard funds but I was told it’s around 10% on average per year. Now I think I can do 15-20 percent a year based on my historical performance over the last 5 years. (My average is 21% per year). However I am currently subject to capital gains tax. In the long run am I better having a tax free vanguard isa than using my etoro? I’d be paying 24% capital gains tax in the Uk. Any advice appreciated.
