I was with TD Ameritrade for a long time then it was taken over by Schwab and I absolutely hate how they have been running my account, have my positions get put in my margin account even though I have free cash available, so far this year I’ve been charged almost $100 in trading fees. This would calculate out to over 150 option trades which I now I haven’t made that many option trades at all this year, just a handful! So I was wondering what other people use and are happy with using for a better trading platform.
My trading commissions didn't change when my account transitioned from TDA to Schwab. Many also say you can also call in and talk them down to lower commissions
