RAM&where to save what?

Im tryn to get started maKing music, just windering how others may have done their install and saves. I previously installed wf11.5 and most of the files saved to my (c:) i think. Where my hard drive prograMs etc are. Does this take away from my 16gb of ram i have? Also with all the xtras like plugins etc etc (i have 1 terrabyte memory) is it best to save to another drive besides the c: or hard drive location? I just want the least amount on the ram location as possible. Will plugins run correctly if stored on desktop or zip drive?
