TDeception fuel hypothetical

My question is :

what happns if you pay for the upgrade for Tracktion's Waveform 10 wirthout having a previous version ofWaveform?

I understand the differnce between the two, I want to know if you somehow check out wat would the program consist of. I not 100% sure but i beleive the website prevents thee purchase from happening because in order to have the program you do have to registar and the site visibly and very accessably shows your order history with the appropriatw invoice

Im mostly upset becase i feel decieved. Ivehad Tracktion T7 for the better part of two years, I was ok wiht the free versin unti; i seen the difference in buid of the two, almost night and day. [needless to say amy versionof the Daw should be well worth the money] But even during the time leading up tp download Tracktion T7 I was always on youtube, in the forums, and askig for advice and almost in every instance [ even the non sponsoredd -not that there are any ] . but every platform that someone promoted Wavform clearey stated one way or another that itwould be on the cheaper side of the spectrum next to other DAWS.

Whhen i got to the site i almost left the Tracktion family overall seeing the real price tag of 119 dollars which is the basic install with some the colectiv synth some image loops sub synth , and underneath f that theres the $69 price i was so happy to pay unilt at after i put it inmy cart it said please log in theis is an update for waveform 9 ...I was aready signed i ( hence my curiosity on the posibility of it..... being possible.....to check out and start/complete /install said "upgrADE' BECAUSE AFTER ALL ITS STILL TRACTIOON WAVEFORE AT THE END OO THE D\Y.

So Can i gget away woth buying the upgrade or do havro put out the mo ney for esentially thesam program.

ps the 30 ree trial ended an hour ago so. ( i have ableton but ( thats like a nice hotle while Waveform has turned in my HQ or house 10 years that ive brokem amd fixed 10 times. [bst analogy i could think \f]

Justt tryna get some opions before i ultimantly go and payfor the upgraden instead of a basic ans see waht happens
