My son want's to go GP Shift and I'm worried muscle memory will do the wrong thing. At the moment we only have track bikes, so low risk practice around town isn't an option. I had him on the stands practicing, shifting while I told him up or down for 10 minutes or so. His shifts were delayed/slower but he got them all. I don't use GP Shift so I can't provide any useful help/info, just analyzing what could go wrong. DS on acceleration and blowing up the motor, US into a corner and losing engine breaking and unweighting the front...
UPDATE: Thanks for the info everyone. He tried, it didn’t go great and is back to standard shift. 3 neutrals, 1 miss shift and an off track.
I don’t. I always fuck it up.
