So literally every other person Iāve ever met hasnāt had to do this. They just take the SIM card out of their old phone, put it in the new phone, and then maybe have to call their service provider. Thatās it.
But Iām being told I need to get a new SIM card. Is this normal?
Yeah I tried to do it on my own but it wouldnāt seem to work. I assumed I just had to call the company and have them do something on their end to get it to be recognized.
Iām annoyed at the least, but now Iām confused and suspicious because the service rep had me give him the imei for the new phoneā¦and he said his system told him the phone was locked (which the phone seller said the phone was fully unlocked). I just looked at the āaboutā section of the phone, and under carrier lock it says āno sim restrictionsā.
Youāre right it does. So this should be considered fully unlocked correct?
Why do you think tracfone/total wireless being this way/ claiming things that arenāt the case?
I bought the phone online not through tracfone. I had a family member get the exact same model of iPhone a few months ago and didnāt have to do any of this stuff.
The phone I bought was supposed to be totally unlocked but the tracfone guy claimed it wasnāt š¤·āāļø
