Hi Guys I asked this on Taco world as well but I prefer reddit.
Anyways for the past three months I was under the expectation that I would receive my Tacoma by the end of this month. After calling and speaking to a manager I found out that my allocation wasn't even allotted and that it won't be for another 160 days meaning I would have to wait for over a year for my allocation which frankly is ridiculous. I was strung along the entire way unhappy that I gave those snakes an interest free loan for the last 3 months I took my deposit and ran.
Anyways, looking around I can find a few Tacomas that meet a few but not all of my three requirements which are, a Manual trans, LED low and high headlights and finally rear parking sensors.
I found an OR that meets all of these reqs but doesn't have LED headlights. Are the LED's just four bulbs that dealerships put in and make a hefty profit like most of their dealer added options or are they actual different housings with specific integrated bulbs and ballasts.
My current car has halogens and you'd might as well be driving by candle light on low beams. And the fact that they even sell tacos with out back up sensors still baffles me.
Anyways
TLDR: What is the actual difference between halogen headlights and LED Headlights on 2021 models are the housings different or are the LED's just bulbs the dealership adds on their lot.
