So we had our first big snowstorm here up in Canada and everything on my truck was frozen. I pulled on my handle to open the tailgate and it just broke (there is 0 resistance on the handle now). Luckily I didn't have anything valuable in there but it's a pain in the ass to throw my hockey bag into the cab now..
So as it stands I can't get into my truck bed. I have a BakFlip G2 Tonneau cover that was shut completely, so I can't get in and remove the tailgate cover from the inside.
Anyone gone through this before? At this point I see my only option is to break the door handle completely and try to pull the mechanism so I can unlatch the tailgate..
I really wish there was a better option for locking tailgates for the 2nd gen.
