My family recently purchased a pre-owned 2015 Highlander Limited Platinum.
So far we really love the thing. It's just awesome.
One of my only qualms with it, is what seems to be the inability to update the apps and navigation that's built into the vehicle. For example, if I go into navigation and tap "go home" it wants to direct me to whatever "home" was for the previous owner. On the car console I try to delete the old nav information and it doesn't "stick"... it'll act like it's deleted but it isn't really removing anything... and then, I can't seem to program anything new.
Everything online that I can find for this is rather dated, as expected... the car is almost 10 years old... and the apps both on mobile and Windows PC are "no longer supported", even though the pages explaining how to download and run said apps to update map data, etc. are still working online.
Does anyone know of a way to clear out the old saved locations from the navigation, and/or how to update those saved addresses with new info? Is it too much to ask about updating the firmware/apps on the in-vehicle console as well?
Appreciate any guidance or insight that can be offered here. Thanks!
