I have a 2019 manual XSE, replaced the original battery myself about 2 months ago with a new one 650 cranking amps. No issues
Two weeks ago I went out to my car, depressed the clutch and pushed the start button. Car COMPLETELY lost all electronics. No lights would work nothing. Then I opened the hood and the electronics came back on. Closed it and drove off.
Next day same issue occurred, had to open hood and close to start the vehicle.
Then leaving work two days later, passenger window stopped working completely, the auto up function on the driver's window wouldn't work.
Brought to Toyota. They determined that my battery was a little low on charge, charged and load tested, battery showed good condition, reprogrammed windows, I was sent on my way.
Yesterday, car experienced the lost power issue again. Same routine all over again car sometimes won't start and I have to just mess with it until I get power back, when it does start it starts weak.
Any thoughts? Admittedly I'm very frustrated with Toyota at the moment. I fear getting charged another diag fee when the issue was not properly resolved. I'm wondering if it's something with the clutch sending a signal to the starter not working right, a wire being caught up, a bad ground wire, or a bad alternator.
I hate this car so much.
