My ex came back.. why am I feeling smothered?
Post Body

So me and my ex broke up back in December. And we had recently decided to start hanging out again. We are not a couple per se again we're more like friends with benefits. Which I am completely okay with. However lately although we've been spending a lot of time together I've been feeling really drained and smothered and I can't put my finger on why. I was the dumpee so naturally when he came back I was really excited to have him back in my life but now I just want my own space. I don't know how to tell him this without him getting mad at me but I don't think we should continue to see each other. I mean like we can't even go a whole week without us fighting and I have recently dated someone that I got along very well with (although they're in another state). And I'm beginning to realize that this is not love. Love is not constantly fighting...

Like we will go out on great dates together and mini road trips but for some reason while we're spending time together I feel really drained and smothered. Even though things are going quite well.

Also recently my ex has been going through gender reaffirming therapy and they would like me to support them through that. Which I have no problem doing so for them as I still love and care for them. But I have been feeling very drained lately and I don't know why? So I'm not really sure what I should do. I don't know if I should just end things and do my own thing by myself. Or maybe I should tough things out and hope for the best I don't know anymore....
