I’ve never been able to get rid of OTA in 5 years despite trying all the kinds of binders, ripping the house apart, medical grade air filters, all the living precautions. Decided to suck it up and try Cholestyramine. I expected there to be at least some symptoms as people talk about it being intense and the strongest binder out there. I’ve always been able to detox really hard—- high amounts of binders at once, long time in the sauna, etc, but figured this one might be different. By my third day, I was up to 3- 4mg doses. Only reason I haven’t made it to four is I’m trying to keep it a few hours away from food/nutrients/supplements (I don’t take any medications) and it is hard to keep it several hours apart if you are trying for 4 doses in a day. Is there anyone else out there like me that can handle these intense binders and high amounts and have zero symptoms? I’m homozygous mthfr and have the HLA gene issue so major hurdles there…. But I would expect the opposite effect with the binders with these genetics. I cannot figure this out and how I might further harness this superpower or what I could change to knock these last lingering issues. Even my mold dr would comment on how I could be very sensitive to mold, etc…but yet I can detox like something vicious.
