Hello :). I am a freshman (biology major) looking for a laptop that is going to hopefully last me the next 4 years. With most college laptop reviews either saying A. āMacBooks are the best laptop everā or B. āDonāt you dare look at a MacBook if youāre a STEM majorā Iām feeling rather conflicted. If anyone has any suggestions/opinions please let me know. Thank you!
tldr: What laptop do you use and do you like it?
I used a Lenovo yoga. Iād heavily recommend staying away from Mac in general. Apples computers are extremely overpriced for the specs they have and will underperform wildly compared to any windows computer in the same price range. You should also consider a lower end gaming laptop. The gpu and better cpu will allow to you to do more complex things if your degree requires it.
