I had a brain injury about 3 years ago and about 4months later i started having what i could only describe as tics. I would involuntary fling my left arm. Then it became my left arm wrapping around my head. Then around my head and a scream. This all progressed over about ...a year ? I saw a nuro who did a mri and states everything is fine that its atress related or psychological. I went then to see a psychologist and physiatrist who both think its nurological. When i hit my head i did lose speach for about 3 weeks and was really struggling to walk and do basic task for a long ling time. I habe been diagnosed for a long time with adhd and anxiety disorder. (Since 7) i i recently went to a 2nd physiatrist as i have had sensory issues my whole life and since my head injury it has only been worse she suggested inmay have had aspergers as a kid and never been diagnosed. ( i know thats not the term used anymore) i reel so lost. I went to speak with my primary doc and she said she wanted to diagnose me with tick disorder. But due to my age im not sure thats correct either. I was 26 when i hit my head and am 29 now.when it happens it almost hurts if i fight it and even if i fight it i cajt stop it it only give me a moment delay and only sometimes. Now its so bad that my arm wraps around my head and its like a yip yell scream and it hurts like all my musles tense at once. I feel lost. Kinda crazy. Iv found rearch to show it has happened before but is rare. Im trying to save money to see one of the few people who have heard it but its a mess. This may not even be the right place. I just searched tic disorder.it has impacted my life alot. Today i tics over 16 times. Which is unsual for me. I can do 7 in 30 mins or only 3 all day as far screaming. I am aware i do other small things. My eye twitches alot. And im sure there are things i dont notice as well. Any advice? I used to have a job i didnt speak to anyone and i could do but now they want to out me on phones and i had to file an ada form bc i can just see me yelling at someone whos mad going great. ( i have actully hee hawed 3 times before yes like an ass ) my family laughed i was mortified. Most of the time its just wierd sounds. I am on sizure meds for pain ( my brain feels like hot glass being drug across it at all times since the injury) Any ..anything ? I hope this is ok and everyone. Has a great day.
