I've never been comfortable at the gym, my tics make it nearly impossible now.
Lately I've been shouting all kinds of vulgar things.
At my boss.
At dinner.
Washing the dishes.
But especially at the gym. I can feel them coming so I usually have about a second or two to get off the machine and not hurt myself. Or if I'm holding weights, I can usually brace so I don't injure myself.
But when I brace it makes them worse. It makes them last longer.
How do you guys handle that?
I already feel really out of place because I don't go much, I'm still pretty new, and it already feels like the attention is unavoidable, but when I'm screaming "pizza" and then flapping my arms on an elliptical... Ugh.
