Positive storytime!
I had a neurology appointment today, my last one with this particular neurologist that I've been seeing for the past two years, and she finally diagnosed me with Tourettes! Basically, I've had a diagnosis of chronic vocal and motor tic disorder, and she was holding off on diagnosing Tourettes until I got a neuropsych evaluation to see what comorbidities I have. Well, I have quite a few, as it turns out, and I told her about them today, and she was like, "okay, that's pretty much the nail in the coffin for this, it's definitely Tourettes." So, I'm just glad and happy because people get soooo confused when I say, "Oh, I have tics," they think I mean the bug, so now I can finally just say, "I have Tourettes," without having to bend over backwards to explain myself. It's a relief, really. Anyways, just wanted to share this with you all, it made my day and I'm just so happy, plus, when I had the diagnosis of just a tic disorder, you all were super helpful in my journey to live with my tics and the possible things that come with it, so thank you all so much for your support. βΊοΈβΊοΈβΊοΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈπππ
