Hey guys, I really want to start my Tent-Trekking „career“ now 😁 I am a German teacher and I have 6 weeks time with no plans ahead of me. I was thinking about going TMB and I want to buy a tent for that, as most of the refuges seem to be booked already. The problem is, I can’t seem to find reliable information about campsites and camping near refuges.

My biggest concern is: will run into any trouble, if I buy a tent and drive up to Chamonix and hike without booking, anything in advance?

Are there any itinerarys or gps tracks that guide me from campsite to campsite?

I feel like all this uncertainty is holding me back of hiking TMB 😕
