Completely new to touch designer, but am curious about who hires people fluent in TD? Is TD a marketable 'talent' for lack of a better word? - early college student

I'm hoping to pursue learning certain software like TD in uni, yet not entirely sure what TD would be a part of- is it motion design? animation? Apologies for my lack of knowledge. Still very eager to know though, and how whatever major it might be could be applied to a career in __(?).
