First things first, no shade to anyone that worked on this episode

Jurassic fart was weird as hell but Damien and Julia were at their best, Mk having what julia did at her disposal, and the hockey bros using their wits still. Zee and Chase scenes were entertaining to watch as well, and Emma was a highlight as well. Plus Damien started in the challenge this episode and saved everyone from the raptor

This episode was my least favorite of the reboot honestly and one of my least favorite episodes in a long time for TD.

They finally remembered that Damien has an affinity for science and the short rivalry between him and Julia was great to watch. Damien standing up for himself unlike Caleb was awesome. Unfortunately that’s as good as it gets.

The used the same plot with the idol from All-Stars, but somehow, it’s EVEN WORSE. Like holy hell man, even in AS they showed the critical moment happening. Instead of doing something unique with the idol, it’s just used to prolong the prileb plot when it looked to be wrapped up. They started their conflict again just because.

They also established that Damien hides the idol four times a day for safe measures, and yet he looks for it at the same spot he first hid it. It’s the first thing this episode established. Randomly chris has the winner choose someone to save, which was pretty pointless since Wayne and Raj apparently didn’t want to vote Prileb because of happiness. Again, another one of Julia’s scheming is offscreen with the blackmailing of caleb.

Everyone is completely at their worst this episode. Hockey Bros were colossal dumb*sses the whole time, Julia’s plot armor was ridiculous and the amount of offscreen crap happening was atrocious, and Prileb were hogging screentime. The challenge was pretty boring with them picking the choice on an ipad. Then how Damien is out of this challenge this episode is that he’s… carried away by bees halfway through the challenge? Insanely early for his elimination episode. Every challenge after episode 8 comes down to Prileb and Julia, the same three characters every time and everyone else is in the background. Lastly, Priya staying over Damien and the reasons for votes are so stupid. Everysingle problem for this season was rolled up into this episode, including the amount of telling not showing that happens here. u/MarlinBrandor goes into depth about this.
