First things first rest in peace Uncle Phil

Today is bridgette’s birthday so i wanted to give an appreciation post to her and how she was failed. She’s not my favorite but i still love watching her.

The writers did her so dirty after Island, and it’s even more apparent in WT. Here’s a post about WT as a whole i made it u want to check it out. They reduced her to be nothing more than Geoff’s girlfriend, and out of the nice athletic Girls, they did Bridgette wrong. Island was easily her best season as she had friendships with others and was actually her own character.

In WT we could’ve seen more of Bridgette without Geoff and can have an arc without Geoff. Three teams could’ve had so much potential but were wiped out to keep the other two running. When looking at the teams i was so sure bridgette will be done right considering everyone else aside from Zeke had arcs in other seasons. She can show more to herself than simply making out with Geoff all the time like Action.

Sadly this didn’t happen as she ended up cheating on Geoff… Her character was nothing more than used for the i have a boyfriend joke tragically. At least her song was a bop. Her whole story was only centered on Geoff and to basically resist alejandro, thus not seeing more of her personality.

Island Bridgette will forever be enjoyable with her integrity and moral compass. We love Bridgette for how outgoing, clumsy and fierce that stands up for what she believes is right (u/salty-collection-127) Her dynamic with Courtney is as amazing as ever and she is a breath of fresh air from dramatic plots. Maybe in the future more can happen but I’m still stoked that Bridgette was fun to watch, even if things fell flat. Writers did her so dirty with how they reduced her, especially when seeing how zoey Sky and Priya were all used.
