After reading so many post about pain and how to control it, I feel compelled to share my thoughts. After two THR anterior, pain is gonna be there. There is a tremendous amount of swelling as this is after all a pretty invasive surgery. Pain is associated with swelling. If you control the swelling the pain will subside and allow you to be more active. Don’t allow or depend on pain meds to substitute something as simple as putting a ice pack on for 10 min. Massage your incision and around it. Take ibuprofen as allowed and in between take Tylenol. Again, control the swelling and you control the pain. Good luck!
