Little pain but significant joint problems before surgery
Post Body

I’m having my right hip replaced in April (anterior by a surgeon who almost always does anterior). I’m 48 with severe hip arthritis but pain isn’t my real issue. My real issue is the joint function is low. I have some pain, but it’s manageable. I’m told it’s because I’ve always been very active and I have very strong hip muscles. I have FAI, so it’s a matter of when to get it replaced. Has anyone had a similar experience prior to having their hip replaced? The pain is getting worse, but I don’t want to wait until the pain is unbearable. I’m hopeful the joint function will largely return.
