6 days post-op anterior - what is pain?
Post Body

Hi everyone. Just looking for some clarification on how pain is defined post-surgery.

The nurses, docs, and PT all told me to "stay ahead of the pain" by taking meds on a schedule, icing, and "not overdoing it".

I don't have pain when sleeping or sitting. I have some quad tightness when I'm standing unassisted, but not pain.

However. When I try to walk with the walker and put as much weight as I can bear onto my operated leg (left), that's when the pain happens. It starts mid-quad with a fiery burn and shoots up into the joint and does not reduce unless I take pressure off my leg. Is that the pain the meds are supposed to be squashing so I can walk more?
