Right - THR Anterior Approach
Post Body

Hello! I am 36 years old with AVN in my right femoral head. I am set to have my THR next week and have a lot of anxiety surrounding the anesthesia process. From what they told me it will be a spinal anesthesia as it is better for many reasons. I have a huge fear of needles and am scared I will be awake and feel this happening.

I had a nerve block last year in my knee for an Achilles repair and they sedated me for that and I donโ€™t remember anything happening. Iโ€™m wondering if this time will be similar to that?

Other than that, Iโ€™m not anxious at all and am just ready to be pain free.

Thanks in advance for any advice!
