The Yard AI??

Aight, this game's driving me NUTS with the AI. 20 seconds in and AI are getting 30-40k when it's [definitely] impossible for a casual like me, but does anyone have a solid run for ~1000 hp cars and possibly a good tune?
It's seriously driving me up the god damn wall by the end and AI are reaching scores of 130-140k at the end and I don't even get that close. I've wasted 80 tyres ON THIS TRACK ALONE and it's taking my sanity away.
