So Iām half black/white & Iāve lived here for about 3 years (moved from Vancouver for school/sports) , back home I would āhead nodā acknowledge other black people just walking the street in a mutual respect kind of way. Over here, I give mans a head nod and they either look at me crazy or just disregard it completely (with the odd nod return). Iām studying psych/sociology so it interests me in a particular way. Wondering if the mans here can shed some light on why you would/wouldnāt acknowledge back or if itās just a āthereās too many niggas in this cityā thought process (Toronto gotta have 5x the black people then Vancouver). Iām In downtown area, not outter Toronto.
