How much and how long does it take to finish basement?

I’m looking to buy a 2300 sq ft house that has an unfinished basement in Hamilton/Ancaster area. This is my first time buying a house so have no idea.
How long does it take to finish a basement with a three piece bathroom? How much would it approximate cost (obviously there’s probably a range depending on the materials)? Are reliable contractors easy to get? Any recommendations for contractors in Hamilton/Ancaster so I can ask them directly?
I’m not planning on renting it.
