Cultural perceptions on Bottoming & Manhood

Being a masculine presenting bottom (bearded arab here), it looks like it’s more difficult to find total tops to fuck me when I’m in North-America than in Europe. My experiences made me feel seems of a disappointment to be a macho bottom in Berlin than in New York, for example.
Do you believe that cultural perceptions of manhood and assigned roles are a cause of that?
