What are the signs/cues of a good top or bottom?

I mean beyond physical things. What are some behaviors, words or anything that you think you can observe before having sex with someone that makes you go in ur head, “yeah, we will have fun”.
My experience points to patience in tops. The best tops in my life have made a very patient impression to me. Maybe enthusiasm after that.
