Tops - what use is there for a bottom's penis?

I'm a bottom and I almost exclusively have a sex life that consists of putting dicks up my ass.
I have difficulty getting and maintaining an erection and while for most men this would be an area of concern, I don't know if gay bottoms would be the same.
Do tops generally like to have their bottoms with active dicks or should I focus on having a bottom where the magic happens?
