Has anyone else experienced this:
After some time, in even a relatively mild climate, if I am covered in any way or wearing any clothing and doing most of the work both pulse and temperature will sometimes suddenly climb to ridiculous levels. At best, it leads to thirst and discomfort, at worst it can reduce stamina as all of the blood flows toward my skin to cool off. Keeping the room colder, minimal clothing or cover, and a generous glass of cold water nearby help but they cannot always stop it. In water, this never happens. It's as if it is a failure to rid my body of heat rather than too much being generated.
Doctor says that there is no established medical reason for it but considering that my pulse can double and temperature rise by almost five degrees, it's an irritation. If you have experienced this, do you have any tips for mitigating it? The only common factor seems to be a more damp environment, humidity over forty percent.
Hydration is adequate, I eat well, thyroid and blood pressure are fine, sodium levels fine. This is a strange place to ask but sometimes we are pleasantly surprised by where answers come from.
