Recommendations/advice for post-op

I have surgery in two weeks and I was hoping to get some recommendations on what I should get to help me post-op. My partner is going to help me out but he works full time so I’ll be on my own for quite a few hours out of the day so if anyone has any advice for functioning on your own that would be awesome.
I was also wondering if anyone had any advice on scar healing since I personally don’t want very prominent or dark scars
