Waitlist time suddenly increased 3x
Post Body

I'm not sure if this is common at all, but I this is a PSA that those who are on waitlists might want to check in periodically to see if their wait time has drastically changed.

I've been on the consult waitlist for Dr. Morrison at Harborview in Seattle for 5 months. They said Zoom consults would be seen in 5-7 months, so I called to check in. They informed me that the wait time is now 10-20 months for all consults, including via Zoom. They won't tell me why, but I guess that doesn't really matter. It is what it is.

The part that bugs me is that they weren't going to tell me. I turned down work and travel opportunities during the rest of this year and early next year based on the timeline they originally gave me. If I hadn't called them I wouldn't have known. I know 10-20 months is not an unheard of wait time, but it's devastating to find this out at month 5 of a wait that was supposed to be 5-7 months.
