THIS IS A REPOST BECAUSE THE PICTURES WERE NOT LOADING

I'm healing really well after my Top Surgery revision! (I am Non-Binary and use They/Them pronouns). I am very happy with my results and feeling more comfortable with my body everyday. I am planning to get my nipples/areolas tattooed in heart shapes after I have spent enough time healing, and also planning on getting nipple piercings! Both procedures were covered by insurance 100%: first surgery by Oregon Medicaid (OHP) and the second surgery by Medicare and DC Medicaid.

First Top surgery is pictured in the last photo collage and was a "Batwing" procedure by Dr. Julianna Hansen at OHSU in Portland, OR. Batwing is a nipple sparing procedure that keeps the nipple intact and maintains it's connection to the stalk; similar to fishmouth, but with angled/diagonal scars.

My first Surgery resulted in these issues: (1)My nipples ended up inverted and sunken in because too much breast tissue was removed from underneath the nipple. (2)The areolas were more slanted than round (3)My scars were too tight around my skin (4)My scars stretched drastically and became super raised (5)There was extra fat above and below the scars, making the scars look indented (6) had localized pain on the outside of my nipples, most likely due to excess scar tissue.

Revision pictured in the first photo collage by Dr. Jerry Chao at George Washington Hospital in Washington, DC

Dr. Chao was exceptional! He understood my needs and came up with a specialized plan to address the aforementioned issues: (1)liposuction to remove excess fat (2)fat grafting the fat removed by lipo so that it is positioned beneath the nipple (3)scar revision of both outer scars to reduce the stretched scarring, lessen pain due to excess scarring and eliminate a small dog ear on left side (4)stretching the the nipple to create a more round shape (5)both internal and external sutures to help the nipple 'pop' out and maintain it's round shape

Feel free to ask me questions, as long as you're respectful!! I'd love to help other trans folks with finding information.
