i thought i maby gonna Post something over here, becouse.... it basicly is a Tool ;)

I was recently asked to search for an good Generator for an Garden out near the Woods without electricity.

It shoud be powerfull enough for Welding and using Machines so 4000W of Power was the min. Requirement.

After searching for a few Weeks i found something at "eBay Kleinanzeigen" the german Variant of Craigslist. The Title and Discription didnt include any technical Specs but in the Pictures u coud see it has an Briggs Strattion 16Hp Vanguard V-Twin Engine and 8KVA Power.... so it looks like its gonna be a Nice Generator.

The Discription said that it wasent working Properly becouse the Engine wont start without a bit of Starter Spray and it runs with Missfire.

So i wrote an eMail to the Seller and and said i was gonna Take it the next Day... so i did as i Wrote and got the Thing for 300€ (way way eay to cheap tbh)

As i broght it Home i startet to bring it Back running.

I Removed the Valve Cover and adjustet the Valves, i cleaned the Carburetor with Breaks Part Cleaner put a New Air Filter in and it was Back on running again.

So i quickly changed the Oil, Filter and Spark Plugs to have everything in new Condition

After that i thought about the Fuel Tank here is where i also need ur Ideas:

It currently is an 10L (2.6 Gallons) Fuel Canister where someone cut of the Handle and drilled an Hole in the Bottom. Than someone put in a Scew with Nut and drilled the Scew Hollow so the Fuelline can fit. Actually i dont like the Solution but the Original Tank is gone, i dont have it and there is no way i can Find an Original Tank for that thing. So for now i strapped the Fuel Can up and thats how it is for now.

Also i orderd some "Universal" Parts so i can weld an new Exhaust System for that Thing i have it Planned like that:

Also i Startet to Paint the Engine and Pullstarter Cover to make it more Appealing Visually:

Thats the situation atm.

I Put it all together this afternoon after i get the new Pullstart Cable and Handle from the store.

I will keep u guys Updated in the Commens and maby i will do an Secound Post after i finnished it all but there are a Few thing to do like Painting the Frame and Cop Tover, adding new Outlets, putting in new Fuses with FI Protection etc.

I will read the Comments and Sugestions what to do maby there are a few good Ideas!
