How would you change a 7in driver into a 5 in?
Post Body

How would you take this.. https://imgur.com/gallery/ZNXC5B1 7in Phillips driver and make it only 5in long? Must keep the hex at the bottom to lock into tool....No access to welding equipment...the closest thing I have to welding is JB weld...

It goes in a drywall gun and the soonest I can get a new bit that is correct for the gun is 2 weeks...but I have 2 7in long drivers and mine calls for 5in driver

Edit: so would you say JB weld is not worth the trouble?
