Need help swelling the handle of a Portuguese round hammer
Post Body

Hey guys, i got this milani hammer because iโ€™m learning how to sculpt, but the head, as you can hopefully see from the pictures, is slightly loose, it simply came like that, and my (former) teacher (he just happened to be around and looked at my form) told me to put it in water, without going into more detail. Now im a complete newbie, is that a permanent solution ? Wonโ€™t the wood just rot ? I apologize if this is a stupid question or if its something people ask too much, and yes im wearing gloves so you canโ€™t tell how smooth my hands are ๐Ÿ˜Ž Thanks in advance.
