I don't know if it's just me but has anyone else had concerns with Mac impact sockets and their twist extractor sockets? I've had a set of Mac precision torque deep impact sockets for a few months and they don't get much use. But the times I've used them the teeth inside seem to round out easily after literally a few uses. I don't know if it's bad enough to replace them but to be fair they still grip ok and I like them.
Their twist sockets which I've had for less time concerned me too. I used the 14mm once on a rounded bolt with an impact and the grooves again seemed rounded after one use. I spoke to another mechanic and he said they are a bit soft. His snap on extractor sockets looked pretty chewed too so I don't know if this is just me expecting too much. But for what you pay I'd would think that type of wear would take a long time not a few uses.
I'd like to know of other people's experiences with these types of sockets, Thanks.
