This is why it took 13 years. At first, I thought 13 years was too long, but seriously... the amount of trial and error that probably happened is maddening. I’ve always thought, Tool writes songs that don’t get old. They make music that no matter how many times you hear it, it is still special and meaningful. How do 4 dudes(and their producer and crew), make musical pieces that are all 10 min and aren’t just time sucking self indulgent pieces of noise? It takes a long time.
Guys, I don’t think we will really appreciate fully how amazing this stuff is until our 30th, 50th, or even 100th time.
They made these songs so that anyone, especially them, can play or hear each piece a hundred times without getting bored.
Thank you Tool
(Chocolate Trip Trip is it’s own thing. I can’t imagine the amount of hours put into drum practice that took to make that masterpiece)
