Can you explain how some women's stance change between men and sex?

Random shower thought I had today. I've been hearing some women (a very small percentage) are the type that don't want anything to do with men. They want to be 100% independent. Talk trash about men like how they're all the same, useless, and how they put women down ect. But then they're also into bdsm, getting slapped/degraded by men during sex, and being called names such as slut, whore, bi*ch ect. How can someone go from one polar opposite to the other? I don't get it. Again very small percentage of women.
