Why are men today so much less masculine than they were in recent generations?

I really like music and classic rock is one of my favorites, I'm constantly discovering bands that were before my time like back in the 70s and even some in the 80s(hair bands not included lol). When you look at the members of these classic rock bands when they were in their early 20s they looked like MEN. They looked like guys that could fix a car or knew how to lay a floor in someone's house. When you look at any famous males today who are in their 20s or even into their 30s they look a lot more like helpless boys.
