Never smoked weed before, what to expect?

I’m 25 and never smoked weed before. I will be having some next week for the first time. I am not sure what I will be having, whether bud, edibles, or vape.
What should I expect? I trust the person who will be “coaching” me, so I’m not worried about taking too much as he will guide me. What should I expect? Will it be enjoyable? What makes people try it and say meh it’s whatever?
